How Do We Stop Thinking?

How Do We Stop Thinking?

“How Do We Stop Thinking?” – I think the question we should be asking ourselves is not “how do we stop thinking” but “why would we want to stop thinking?”. Are we trying to train ourselves to become ‘nothing’? What is the purpose of an empty space? I believe we should be striving not to stop thinking but to learn how to channel our thoughts to enrich our lives.

Success Strategies: Expectation Of Leadership

Success Strategies: Expectation Of Leadership

Success strategies: Leadership. Our whole life, in all the various roles in which we find ourselves, we expect, and demand, leadership in others. But what of the leadership we expect in ourselves? If we expect those around us to be in leadership for us, shouldn’t we be expecting leadership in ourselves also? Shouldn’t we be demanding that we are the role model and thus paving the way for others to follow? Allow me here to define what I mean by leadership, and why I believe it is the leadership that we expect in ourselves that is most critical to our success in life and in business.

Success Strategies: 3 Simple Steps For Effecting Permanent Change In Our Lives

Success Strategies: 3 Simple Steps For Effecting Permanent Change In Our Lives

We are all familiar with the concept: ‘What we think about we bring about’. And at a broad, brush-strokes level, that is certainly true. However, if this were all there was to it, we would all have everything we had ever desired in our life right here, right now, plus a bucket load more besides. And then apply this knowledge to create 3 simple Success Strategies that we can follow to effect permanent change in our lives.

Goal Setting: Ten Reasons Why Your SMART Goals May Not Be So Smart

Goal Setting: Ten Reasons Why Your SMART Goals May Not Be So Smart

One habit separates the top 5% of competitors who win in life from the other 95% who just play: Goal setting. No surprises there. That is common knowledge. But what about the 5% of us who DO set goals? The 5% of us who DO understand the importance of setting ‘proper’ SMART goals, goals that are properly written down, with a deadline, all neatly in accordance with the SMARTER principles of goal setting? The goals we have that are Specific, we can Measure them, we truly believe they are Realistic and we have given ourselves a realistic Time Frame for their achievement. Yet still, no matter what our level of passion, desire or committment, these goals continue to allude us. They remain just that. Goals. Goals written down in our diaries, pinned up on our vision boards but very definitely goals not yet present in our lives. What about those goals? Have you had any of those?? Are you at a loss as to WHY these goals do not seem to be working for you at the moment, or, more specifically, what else it is that you need to do in order to achieve those goals?
